Saigon Day 1

Wow, today was my first full day in Vietnam and I can honestly say I suffered from extreme jet lag. Haha, but besides that, everything was great!!

Maybe except the temperature. Every place that did not have an electronic fan felt like I was in an oven. It's the hottest place I've ever been. Plus it drizzled a little today making it more humid.

But I do have something else to cheer up my day! Tomorrow my newlywed cousin, Candy, is going to teach me how to ride a motorcycle/scooter. I'm really excited and I brought a Hello Kitty helmet!

So yea, today we visited a lot of relatives and gave gifts. This city is do big and busy and it does not sleep at night! They keep selling food at their stands until 3-4 am! It's kind of the Las Vegas of Asia (minus the inappropriate stuff).

And you would not believe how many motorcycles are here. They practically have their own lane! Well with these many bikes, the whole street is dedicated to tear bikes. There's a car for every 100 bikes haha. Ok well I'm gonna upload some pictures now.

Vacation

Wow, I haven't updated this for a while... Haha... Well but better late than never! Well this post is basically to tell and remind me that tomorrow I'm heading onto vacation :) yup, I'm going to Vietnam to see my dad's side of the family. I've never met them so I'm so nervous!!

Finals.....

Hey Guys...
The dreaded finals....
Finals are soooo evil!! Why do they need to smash it in all one week?! And I am so tired from studying and practicing diving..... I just want to take a 24 hour nap!!  And I am super duper worried about my English and Biology Final I took today! I hope I did well.... Tomorrow I have a Journalism final so I need to study for that and I got a Geometry Final too. I wonder if I should study for math.. hmmm... I've never before, but there's a first for everything right?
Well, that was my rant on finals and tests in general, school is very mentally exhausting! BUT! There is a bright side! After tomorrow we have a 4 day break! I get to sleep in for 4 days!!! AND! My birthday is coming up next week too (: so I'm super excited! Only one more year til I can drive!

American Christmas!

Ok, as you can see the last post was my Asian Christmas with one of my buds, and today I am going to talk about an American Christmas (aka normal Christmas with family). This one was tons of fun for me too!
***SPOILER*** DO NOT READ IF UNDER THE AGE OF 10

Well since, we all know that Santa's not real my family and I just stayed up til midnight to open presents, and it was AMAZING!! I got new clothes, 2 pairs of shoes, and the whole family got an iPad from my grandma. But my parents were awesome this year!! Ok, so they wrapped the old Xbox box we had and put the present inside!! So when I took the wrapping off, I was all like "We're getting a new X-box?" but when I opened the box there was..................

Dr. Dre headphones!! They are awesome! I can completely block out and ignore my brother now when I listen to music! This Christmas was so much fun! Besides the fact that we didn't eat Ham this year for dinner, it was kind of weird, instead we ate some traditional Chinese food, haha.

Asian Christmas!!!

Hey People!!
Happy New Year!!! And Merry Christmas!! I Had a fantastic-cal break! My friend and I had a sleepover at my house and it was amazing! We watched The Little Mermaid and The Aristocats in Chinese, and ate real Chinese food with chopsticks! We had marshmellows the other day to practice our skills. (: Also we made this awesome Prezzi about Christmas at the Tao house. And if I do say so myself, it was pretty cool. We also watched The Help, but that was sadly in English. :( Ohh!! And can't forget! What's an Asian party without Origami??? This was a fun-filled day but soon came to an end in the morning.... BUT! She gave me the most awesome-est gift EVER!! It was a PANDA PEEWEE Pillow Pet!! I got it the day before school was let out for break and I couldn;t stop hugging it! It was just so fluffy!! And she gave me a poem about the tiny panda too (Tao), and it was so adorable! Just like Tao!! And this post must be really confusing since I'm jumping from topic to topic haha. And Tao is adjusting to his home well! :)

Books!

Hey People!
Well today I'm going to talk about books!
What classic books have you read? Like Shakespeare, Charlotte Bronte, Jane Austen, etc...
I have read Jane Eyre, Romeo and Juliet. And do you have people who always complain about how bad the hard the vocabulary is to read? I know some people who do, but I actually really like those kind of books, they just have different storyline not common in modern society. So different is good in my book! :)
But I do like books that have been recently released. Like Hunger Games, Inkheart, The Lost Hero, The Lightning Thief, etc... By the way, I can't wait for the Hunger Games movie to come out! The book is amazing! To those who haven't read it, it is a MUST-READ! Go buy it now!
Anyway a lot of people are saying the actors don't fit the characters, but I haven't seen the trailer closely, and I haven't seen the actors either, but I hope the storyline stays the same. (:

Scheduling... Ewww....

Hi there,
Well it is almost the last day for scheduling online for next year in our school, and I'm really worried. Well, so I picked my classes and I picked Art as one of them. And I have heard that Art was a really tough class to get into, like, it is really popular and you would be very lucky to get in. So I am hoping that I will get in, because I want to be an architect when I get older. Making/drawing/creating has always just fascinated me. And I love to draw on the computer, too. And when I become a Junior (I'm a Freshman right now) I have no idea what classes to take. I'm just confused on what History and Science class to take.
But I am going to the counselor tomorrow so I hope to get that straightened out. (:
