Books!

Hey People!
Well today I'm going to talk about books!
What classic books have you read? Like Shakespeare, Charlotte Bronte, Jane Austen, etc...
I have read Jane Eyre, Romeo and Juliet. And do you have people who always complain about how bad the hard the vocabulary is to read? I know some people who do, but I actually really like those kind of books, they just have different storyline not common in modern society. So different is good in my book! :)
But I do like books that have been recently released. Like Hunger Games, Inkheart, The Lost Hero, The Lightning Thief, etc... By the way, I can't wait for the Hunger Games movie to come out! The book is amazing! To those who haven't read it, it is a MUST-READ! Go buy it now!
Anyway a lot of people are saying the actors don't fit the characters, but I haven't seen the trailer closely, and I haven't seen the actors either, but I hope the storyline stays the same. (:

Scheduling... Ewww....

Hi there,
Well it is almost the last day for scheduling online for next year in our school, and I'm really worried. Well, so I picked my classes and I picked Art as one of them. And I have heard that Art was a really tough class to get into, like, it is really popular and you would be very lucky to get in. So I am hoping that I will get in, because I want to be an architect when I get older. Making/drawing/creating has always just fascinated me. And I love to draw on the computer, too. And when I become a Junior (I'm a Freshman right now) I have no idea what classes to take. I'm just confused on what History and Science class to take.
But I am going to the counselor tomorrow so I hope to get that straightened out. (:

10 more days 'til Christmas!! :D :D

Hey guys!
Anyone besides me who's excited for Christmas?? There are only 10 more days!! I can't believe it! And over here in a small own there hasn't been any snow yet! I can't believe it, and I'm super sad, because I can't make my traditional snowman. :( Anyway, Winter break is only one day away though! But I'm making myself a schedule to study for finals and make sure I retain all the information I learned during the first semester. And while I was planning, I realized that our Winter Break is only 2 weeks! That SOUNDS pretty quick, but it goes by so slow it seems!

Friday!! :D :D

Hey guys! Well today is Friday!
And I have a dilemma. Well, I need to talk to my counselor, but all my classes are in the opposite hallway, and there is no possible way for me to go see her without missing the bus after school -- I'm in school right now. And I can't stay after school and let my mom pick me up because I need to go home and get my computer so I can bring it to my Dad's resturant so I won't be bored while I work. Hmmm... I don't know what to do... Oh well!
And I HAVE to talk to my counselor becasue we are scheduling online Monday for our Sophmore schedule, and I don't want all the classes to be taken if I don't register fast enough! I heard that's it's really hard to get into an art class, and I NEED that class, because I want to become an architect!
So Art class is kind-of mandatory.
Well this is my Friday quandary (<-- One of my vocab words!). So.. I'm thinking of just going home today, sign up for my schedule early Monday morning, and then, talk to my counselor later Monday during my FSP (Freshman Support Period, like an Study Room Time -SRT-). And I can always change my schedule later if I'm not happy right?

Movies

Hey People
Have you guys watched the movie "Toy Story" yet? It is so heart-breakingly sad!
***spoiler alert***
Especially the part when Andy gives Woody away and plays with them for the final time. So depressing. But it just shows that life never has (or rarely has) happy endings. That's how life is. Some books are sad too. Like... Nicholas Sparks always puts a twist in the end, and makes me cry. Not good. and I have heard that the movies made are pretty sad too. Like "The Notebook," but I heard that "Dear John" had a good ending, or someone got happy at the end.

My Brain Hurts...

Hey guys!
Well, my brain really hurts today! I am overloaded with homework, and I got a World History test tomorrow. Fun... hahah... Plus I have practice at 5 in the morning tomorrow.. Looks like another school breakfast for me! Anyway, Thanksgiving just pasted a week ago! Guess how many family members came to our house!!
Zero!
Yup, we only had my dad, mom, brother, and I eat all the Ham. We ate Ham for 3 days straight. That was not very appetizing. Ok, and we put our christmas tree up and hung up the lights on our roof! And we have a Polar Bear and Deer in front of our yard! It look so Christmas-ee. Well happy holidays!! :)

TV? Good or bad?

Hey People!

Welcome back to my blog. (: So how are you guys today? Well right now I am watching some cartoons (like the Fairy Odd Parents). They remind me of my childhood days, the times that I would just relax and sit on the couch with a bowl of popcorn. No pop though, I've never tried it. Anyway, cartoons are awesome! Hahah, I just saw Dora the Explorer on the guide selection thingie, and I remembered that TV has Ni Hao Kilan!! I don't know how to spell Kilan sorry. Hmm... What else to talk about... Well, does anyone else thing that there a bunch of mindless tv shows now a days? Like they are running out of ideas? I mean really, like I see all these new shows coming out, and I'm thinking who has the time to watch all of this (besides if you record the episode).

Well that was my mini-rant on television. I mean there are some good shows that educate people. Like Caesar Milan (sorry if I misspelled it) reaches people how to train dogs, and there are shows that have no use, and just there to have people sit and not exercise. Does anyone think that TV is one of the causes for obesity?? But there are also health channels, exercise channels, and fitness channels I guess that help awareness for health and stuff. So I guess I'm not the one to say that TV is "bad" or "good." It really hard to tell becasue TV has so many channels and so many people have so many views. What do you think of TV??

HUG AN ASIAN DAY!!! :D :D

Hey Guys!
Guess what today is!! Well, since you already saw my post, I guess you guys know already... hahah. Well, it's hug an asian day! According to me friend Tinkerbell. But I'm not complaining! And I got so many hugs today that I can't even count (because I'm Chinese). So today was very happy and heart-warming. Plus we watched Cars 2 in Journalism class, so we can write a review on it. Who wouldn't say no to that movie? (:
Well, besides the excited hug an asian day, I think I might start a food blog, haha it sounds like fun! I'll post pictures and whatnot. But that's going to be hard since I eat school lunches, hmm... But my aunt has a food blog! And it's so cool! I'll post the link on here as soon as possible! Well, I guess that's my rant for today! Caio (however you spell it)! Oh and my aunt just came back from visiting Europe for a month!! She is so lucky!!

Homework...

Hey People!
Well today is Tuesday!! Who loves Tuesday??? Me, I think Tuesday is ok. I really like Saturdays though. (: You get it stay up because tomorrow you don't have school! Just kidding. Saturdays are good for homework. And work. And sleep!! Just kidding again, homework day is Saturday.
Hey anyone in Biology Honors right now? Because we are learning Cellular Respiration and Photosynthesis. IN SUPER DUPER DETAIL! Like, at first I was like WHAT?! But I just learned about Photosynthesis and it isn't that bad. (:
And hey! Have you guys seen the Hunger Games Trailer?!?! I CAN NOT wait to see it!! I'm so excited! But saddened that it comes out March 23, 2012 (that is if the world doesn't end, Just Kidding! ;))
Are there any movies you guys want to see that are coming out? What's your favorite movie/show?

Really Lonely Today...

Dear Reader!
Welcome back to reading my ninja-panda blog! I am planning to make a new template with different pandas on the side. They are just so cute!! Anyway, I want to wish all my friends from Lake Central good luck at the Bands of America at Indianapolis today!! You guys better march straight! And twirl those flagts right!! Oh, and did I mention that they got 3rd place?! YAY! Go LC!

I hope they are doing well (even if they HAD to ditch me and school today). That's why I'm so lonely. Well, my partner in Journalism class (Tinkerbell) is in colorguard and she's gone, so I'm sad. :( But I'll live!

There are about five minutes left in Journalism, so I'm also trying to kill time by blogging. As they say, kill two birds with one stone! Do you guys know any funny quotes?

Well, guess what happened to me yesterday guys!! I got interviewed for my school yearbook! Go me! They took a picture of me when I was running in a meet, and they asked me for a quote so they could put it in the yearbook! I am extremely happy, but also extremely sad. I won't be able to buy the yearbook. They are HUGE like textbooks, but cost around $80. So my mom says I can't get one. I am thinking of buying on with my own money, but is it worth it? My mom promised to buy me one my Senior year, and I'm a freshman right now. And I don't even know if I will be interviewed when I'm a senior.

Super Tired....

Hey Guys...

I am like mentally and physically tired right now... As you know I am a high school student and I am also on the Diving team. My back has recovered and I'm back in action!! Problem is I don't want to be in action at 5 in the moring?!? I had to wake up at 4 today to get ready since the car ride to my high school takes 15 minutes. And then we did ab exercies and my abs are NOT happy. Plus I only got about 5 hours of sleep last night, which does not help my mood. Oh, did I mention that I ate dinner at 10 pm last night? Yea... NOT FUN! But the bright side is that it is Friday!! :)

Today!!

Hey guys!!

Well, my day was.... fun. I guess. You could say that. I had diving practice from 5-7 today, so I'm tired right now. Plus I got an essay due November 7, that just adds to the fun... Oh! My mom just bought my dog a Halloween costume!! It's so cute, it's a pumpkin and my dog has a look like "what is on my head." It was really hilarious. I'll be sure to post a picture in my next post!

Oh! and for Halloween, I think I told you, but I was na Eskimo!! So I was warm and toasty! (:  And I got 164 pieces of candy yum!!

Hola People!!

Well... I'm running out of ideas for blogging.... Hmm... Well, I just had a Facebook Social Studies project. Well we had to make a 'facebook' (fake template) of a Roman important person. I think I did well! And I'm kind of sad today.. I don't have diving practice today!!! NOOO!! NOT GOOD!

Oh and did you guys know it was Halloween today? I just found out yesterday.. hahah... I'm being an Eskimo! Because it will be freezing, and I'm going to be the one toasty warm. Smart, huh? Now I am really craving Hot Chocolate, yum...

What are you guys being for Halloween? What's your guys' favorite candy? You know I only Trick-or-Treat for the candy..  hahah....

Anyway, we just had a four-day weekend! It was definitely refreshing! I stayed up really late and woke up at noon practically everyday... Not very smart of me..

So.. what now? More Halloween? I am not really a fan of Halloween and it was all becasue of my Kindergarten year.. I used to go to a private school and it was madatory for an 8th grader to accompany a Kindergartener through a school-made Haunted House.
Well I went throughout the cafeteria and the restrooms. And people grabbed my legs in between the stalls, also apparently the grim reaper costume (plus the blood) scared my so much that I started crying and they had to cut my Haunted House tour early. Yeah.. I'm a big chicken. So now the Halloween Haunted Houses are ruined for me.
Plus why would you pay money to have someone scare you? You could use that money to buy a TV or something, or even use it to scare your mom. I don't know, anything besides giving yourself a heart-attack.

Well, there's my rant on Halloween:
Pros
-Get Candy

Cons:
-People scare the socks out of you.

Now a REAL holiday is Christmas! You get presents, not candy! (:

Feature Writing?!

Hey Guys!!

Well, guess what! I'm in my Journalism class right now and... I have an assignment I have to do! Basically I have to write a feature paragraph (an article that describes more than tells facts) about my most exciting/best moment in the past year.

Ok, so I am going to write about how this past summer I went to Florida for vacation, and how I was waiting in line to ride the new Harry Potter Ride (a.k.a. The Forbidden Journey).

Moving paintings hung on the stone walls as my family and I raced through the corridors of Hogwarts. Our footsteps echoed through the hallways and within minutes we were waiting in line for "The Forbidden Journey." My brother and I paced back and forth, moving two feet in the line every few seconds.

I tapped my foot from impatience until we were finally next of the line.

"Please follow her and enjoy the ride," the employee in front of us instructed.

We did as we were told and my parents merely chucked at me as we made our way across the moving conventor belt. Quickly, we strapped ourselves in listening to the screams of surprise ahead of us.

I grinned at my brother and he asked, "What do you think it'll be like?"

I shrugged but ruffled his hair, "I don't know, but I know we'll have a great..." The words dropped out of my lips as we were plunged into darkness and thrown up and down wildly. Crashes of thunder and sights of lightning made me cringe against the seat. We plummeted down a hole and a dragon snarld at us and blew steams of smoke from it's breath. I shrieked and kicked my legs, feeling my heart pound from surprise or fright: I didn't know.

The seat we were riding plunged again into the unknown. Holograms of ghosts and Harry popped out of nowhere and lead us to safety. But the ride wasn't over yet, fog showered us and the voices of the Harry Potter characters whispered warnings. I figeted in my seat, but the buckels and restraints were like iron bars. All too soon, the ride was over, and I wobbled when I stood from my chair. I clutched my brother, and he said, "Let's ride it again!"

And that's exactly what we did.

Ninja Pandas!

GUYS!! GUESS WHAT?!

I am super excited for my blog layout/design/presentation whatever you call it. But I'm so happy! As you can see, my design is Ninja Pandas!! Woo hoo! I made it in photoshop! Aren't you proud! It took me two hours to make it and figure out the html code. Weekends give me too much time.... Anyway what do you guys think? Awesome! or not so awesome... :( Anyway right now I am making a 3D origami panda and will hopefully upload the picture soon! Wish me luck! And And right now I'm wishing my Cross Country team good luck to the State competition as well as the Color guard and Band. Best of luck!!

Blog Design! :D

Hey Guys!
I know my blog background is plain and boring.... But! I am obsessed with Pandas! So hopefully I will soon find a template with PANDAS! As you can see Pandas are my favorite animal. I found this awesome, cute Panda template, but it said error when I tried to cut and paste the code. So I'm not very happy about it. Anyway, any suggestions for origami I should try? How about blog designs? Thanks for reading! Hopefully, I'll have a blog post tomorrow, followed by a new blog design!

Blog Post Dos!

Hey people!

Well, welcome to my blog once again! And I apologize if I spelled dos wrong (I was trying to spell two in Spanish). Anyway I have the typical life, goes to school, outside activities.

So what shall I talk about today? Any suggestions?? Hmm... Not really.. Ok! Let's talk about sports then! Who likes football? Well, I've never seen a football game in my whole entire life! So next sport! Soccer? Lot's a people like soccer, Ooo! I reall like that Pepsi (or was it Cocoa-Cola?) commercial when there's a woman and she likes updates her twitter status to say David Beckham (however you spell it) is at the other side of the beach, so the line at the Pepsi stand goes away! Then he really shows up at the beach, pure gold. Hahah, alright, just warning you that, that might happen a lot, I will get really pumped up about something then just ramble.

Anyway! Back to sports... Running? I run! I did Cross Country this year, and right now I'm doing Diving, well as soon as I heal... And hopefully I will be back in action!

Ok, tennis? Ummm, I really don't watch Tennis, but my dad says that the Tennis players always have one really muscle-ly arm, hahah.

Oh! Wow, I was just on Yahoo, and a fisherman just caught a cyclops shark!!

My First Blog!!

Dear Readers,
Well hi there! I'm Tiffany Tao. Well This is my first blog post that I have ever written, and I don't know if I should be scared or excited. Let me tell you my thoughts about blogs. At first I thought that they were just things to help people stalk other people. My opinion hasn't changed much. But, this is for a school project/homeowrk assignment we have to do for my Journalism class. So I can't really not make an account.
Now that I have that over with! Let me tell you a couple things about myself. I am 100 percent Chinese. My parents are also Chinese and Chinese is my first language. I love to do origami, read, write, draw, etc... I will probably post pictures or what I have drawn or made with origami on this blog, and will probably have a blog post everyday. I also love my parents so much, they let me do all the sports/activites I want.
Right now, I am a freshman and doing my best to become an artitect. I am in (was) Cross Country and can run 3.1 miles in 23 minutes flat. I am in diving, but have to take a week off for a back injury I am suffering. Well, that's quite a bit about me! You can comment/post/ask questions if you want. I don't really know how to work this site yet, but I'm ready to learn!
